What this product does

A powerful VoIP Analog Telephone Adapter with Router function

G501N, which has one FXS port , one LAN port and one WAN port, is one of the most popular IP ATAs researched and produced by FlyingVoice. This product can not only provide two SIP lines for users to make calls, but also it is a wire-speed NAT router, make you enjoy easy network atmosphere. What’s more, G501N support T.38 real time FAX and T.30 FAX with G.711.

G501N is a stand-alone device, which requires no PC to make Internet calls. This ATA guarantees clear and reliable voice quality on Internet, which is fully compatible with SIP industry standard and able to interoperate with many other SIP devices and software on the market.

How to Connect G501N to the Internet ?

1) Insert one end of the Ethernet cable into the WAN port on the back panel of the G501N and the other end
of the cable to your existing broadband connection port.
2) Connect the LAN port on the back panel of the G501N to your conventional ATA using a standard ATA
cabling.
3) If need to set us a small LAN network, the G501N should work in router or bridge mod so that you or more people can access to the Internet through G501N. Then you need to connect your PC or LAN connection equipment to the LAN port on the back panel of the G501N using Ethernet cable.
4) Connect the power adapter to the power port at the back panel of G501N and then plug another end of power adapter into a wall outlet or power strip. The LED of G501N will turn on to indicate operated properly.

Notice: please do not attempt to use other different power adapter or cut off supply during configuration or updating G501N IP ATA. Using other power adapter may damage G501N and will void the manufacture
warranty.

Ways to Configure G501N

There are three ways to configure G501N: use IVR, use provision and use WEB GUI, recommend is WEB GUI. And you can configure only some parameters through IVR, like WAN port IP address, WAN port IP mode, Subnet mask and so on. User presses **** to start IVR, and the IVR will lead you to configure. Every time you finish some changes, you may need reboot G501N to make the changes take effective. Details about IVR, please refer to G501N user manual. Provision is also a convenient way to make configurations, to get more information about provision, please refer to provision user manual. And you can configure all the parameters of G501N through WEB GUI, login to G501N’s webpage, then you can begin to configure.

Basic use of G501N

1) Connect a analog telephone to G501N’s FXS port, register an account and make calls;
2) Connect a FAX machine to G501N’s FXS port, register an account and send FAX;
3) Connect other device to G501N’s LAN port to use G502N as a router, G501N has two work mode:
NAT and Bridge.
