Providing an effective paging function has been identified as a “must have” feature to convert SMB customers from traditional PBX’s to cloud-based Hosted PBX solutions. For Hosted PBX Service Providers, PIKA Technologies’ WARP Pager serves that requirement complementing Hosted PBX solutions. Once installed at the customer premise (a less than 10 minute exercise), zone or group page announcements are redirected through the WARP Pager to the speakers of each IP phone in the page group.

WARP Pager offloads WAN bandwidth demands and lessens the number of ports required on the edge device, while providing the local paging function that users of traditional legacy PBX systems are familiar with. Overhead speaker systems can also be driven without additional hardware and cost by using the audio-out port on the WARP Pager.

The WARP Pager can be installed into new or existing Hosted PBX Systems in minutes and is architected to operate seamlessly with most common IP phone manufacturers.

WARP Pager comes from PIKA’s 20+ years of developing telephony solutions. Its plug-and-play operation is built on the commercial grade WARP Appliance and benefits from an attractive, brandable appearance in a small form factor. It is eco-friendly, consuming low power and the solid-state design insures reliable operation.

The PIKA WARP Pager is available in two configurations:

WARP Pager 15

Maximum capacity to page 15 simultaneous endpoints in a single zone or page group

WARP Pager 30SZ

• Maximum capacity to page 30 simultaneous endpoints
• Zone paging - 10 zones, 2 including overhead speaker paging
• Integrated audio line-output jack to drive Overhead Speaker Systems

• Page-All and Zone Paging functions are performed within the LAN mitigating the need for expensive WAN bandwidth.  Page requests are handled locally by the WARP Pager instead of running multiple RTP (media) streams from the Host across the WAN to the customer p remise.
• Trunk and license mitigation: The paging function no longer requires provisioning additional trunks, ports on edge device, or expensive licenses (Premium Enterprise). Set up your SIP trunks to accommodate ONLY the maximum simultaneous voice calls.
