The Cisco SPA112 is the newest Analog Telephone Adapter from Cisco. A direct replacement for the Cisco PAP2T, the SPA112 provides the same voice quality and reliability that users have come to expect from Cisco ATAs.
The Cisco SPA112 is an Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) with 2 FXS and 1 10/100 WAN ports. The SPA112 is an intelligent low-density Voice over IP (VoIP) gateway that enables carrier-class residential and business IP Telephony services delivered over broadband or high-speed Internet connections to two standard RJ-11 telephones. The LED lights indicate the state of each call and react to users actions such as on/off hook and hook flash.

Q: I have a few of these devices and was wondering how I can use them to implement SIP with a legacy overhead paging system? After creating my extension and getting the device to register, the only problem I have run into is getting the system to auto-answer. Is there a special setting within this device to allow the voice stream to pick up and flow automatically?
Thanks!
A: The paging system would have to detect the ring and answer the call. The ATA does not have an auto-answer setting
