The 8180 SIP Audio Alterter (G2) is the next generation of the original Algo 8180. The speaker contains an upgraded hardware that is capable of running the latest security encryptions standards, including TLS & SRTP, ensuring secure communication with hosted SIP providers.

The Algo 8180 (G2) is designed to include all the original features of the Algo 8180, the G2 release includes a number of new features and functions, including enhanced multicast options, a relay input for using a button, and dedicated "Emergency Alert" extensions similar to the other Algo SIP endpoints such as the Algo 8186 Horn Speaker, Algo 8188, Algo 8189 Ceiling Speaker and the Algo 8301 Paging Adapter.

ATTENTION: the Algo 8180 AudioAlterter (G2) now runs on a new hardware platform. The firmware files are different compared to the original Algo 8180. An original Algo 8180 can therefore not use the G2 firmware.

The 8180 (G2) SIP Audio Alerter is a SIP compliant PoE network audio device for loud ring and voice paging applications using dual endpoints. When registered with a SIP server, one endpoint will play an audio file from internal memory upon ring detection. The second endpoint will auto-answer for voice paging, complete with two-way talkback. The advanced features of the 8180 include SoundSure technology which automatically adjusts loud ring and paging volume to compensate for background ambient noise. That way you hear the ring or page, but it's not overly loud.
