The Cisco Catalyst 2960-Plus contains 48 10/100 Ethernet ports with 2 (SFP or 1000BASE0T) uplink interface and LAN Base Cisco IOS Software feature set. It is perfect for enterprise-class Ethernet switching for branch office, remote sites, and retail locations, conventional desktop workspaces, building infrastructure, physical security, and other nontraditional access applications.
The Cisco Catalyst 2960-Plus Series provide enterprise-class Layer 2 switching for branch offices, conventional wired work environments, and infrastructure applications. They offer an increased memory capacity to leverage new software features and future Cisco IOS® Software releases. The Cisco Catalyst 2960-Plus Series includes both copper (1000BASE-T) and optical (SFP) Gigabit Ethernet uplink options. The Cisco 2960-Plus Series Switches offer intelligent traffic management that keeps everything flowing smoothly. Flexible mechanisms for marking, classification, and scheduling deliver superior performance for data, voice, and video traffic, all at wire speed. The Cisco Catalyst 2960-Plus switches even support IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) to deliver lower total cost of ownership for deployments that incorporate Cisco IP phones, Cisco Aironet ® wireless access points, or other standards-compliant PoE end devices.
