The Cisco Firepower® 1000 Series is a family of four firewall solutions that provide business resilience, management ease-of-use, and threat defense. When enhanced threat functions are activated, they deliver excellent sustained performance. The 1000 Series serves use cases ranging from tiny offices to remote branches. Cisco Threat Defense (FTD) and Cisco ASA software are installed on the 1000 Series systems. The Cisco Firepower Firewalls are managed through the Cisco Security Manager or in the cloud with the Cisco Defense Orchestrator you also have access to configuration, logging, monitoring, and reporting.
